WebDental Core Training (DCT) recruitment. Dental Core Training (DCT) usually follows on from the 1st year of Dental Foundation Training (DFT). It can last for 3 years, but applicants can also train for just 1 or 2 years. After completion of DCT2, trainees are eligible to apply to enter Specialty Training. WebAccess to the National e-Portfolio for Dental Foundation Training; DTFT posts consist of placements in General Dental Practice and Community Dental Services or as part of schemes working in both the primary and secondary care environment. Trainees are employed by the training practice under a standard contract for 35 hours per week.
