Drying brass cases in the oven
WebOven drying is a great way to dry quantities of cases, and it is quick. You should be able to completely dry several trays of cases in 45 minutes at 100C. Just avoid trying this in a microwave oven. Hair Dryer works well, especially for small batches, but a bit fiddly for serious quantities. As for drying brass ive tried the oven set to its lowest temp at 175 for an hour, but i find this usually tarnishes the brass. Since then, ive resorted to leaving my wet brass to dry in the california sun for a day.

WebFeb 19, 2024 · After tumbling for up to two hours, drain out the dirty water and rinse thoroughly to remove solution and dirt inside and outside of cases (there are various ways of doing this). Note: I just use tap water for the entire process and have had no issues with tarnishing, etc. Then drain the water from cases and dry.
