Low compression, high boost vs. High compression, low boost.

WebFeb 24, 2009 · At high altitudes or with low VE, increase the compression ratio. Dual spark plugs may allow a higher compression ratio for a given fuel octane. Higher compression requires an earlier exhaust valve opening. A lower compression ratio requires a later opening exhaust valve. A low compression ratio benefits from a higher flowing exhaust port. WebAug 31, 2024 · Typically, high compression pistons are made by adding dome volume to the piston crown, which reduces the clearance volume at TDC. In some cases, this is difficult to do depending on the combustion chamber shape, size of the valves, or the amount of valve lift. When designing the dome, it is essential to opt for smooth dome designs. incarnation of a hindu deity crossword https://austexcommunity.com
